Sam's attention - which almost failed when he missed his gambling check).
Lady Cynthia is a skilled physician as well as a card player and comes
from one of those slightly "odd" aristocratic families [think Adams
family] with a long history of wealth and dabbling in the Arts (and sciences) |

"Ned Buntline" wrote the first Sam Slade Adventures Magazine
(now a continuing effort).
Sam Slade is also known as the "Paladin of the West" for his many efforts on the
side of Justice. The Slades currently reside in Tantervalles Castle - 10 miles
west of Dodge City, Kansas. [FS] |

Parallel rides the West putting down abominations and keeping the peace (and silence
about monsters). This Sam also carries and uses Silver Bullets but it isn't only
for the cachet of exotic ammo or its reputed ballistic properties.

A Full blooded Pawnee warrior and Slades Seven member
who was befriended by Sam on Sam's Big Northern trip to Yellowstone and the Black
Hills. Snake is currently a Deputy US Marshal stationed in Arizona. (and the only
Indian Marshal with an English accent..Arabella and Cynthia are the ones who
taught him English) Another distinction for him, is based on his toughness..
He is one of the few known to survive a sniper attack by Christina Coltrane.
