Some say the Devil in Devlin came from her father, Sean; others that he didn't beat her enough, that he let her get airs above herself. Tess came over with the rest of the Devlin brood in 1859, a child of the Dublin streets..... In America, the Devlin clan went from poverty to poverty, being bad neighbors wherever they went. Barns mysteriously burn down, cattle get lost [sold in faroff counties?], things vanish, nae more to be seen... “Book larning is nae for yea, it takes far more than any lass can handle..wee bairns and cooking is more ya. ” - typical Dialogue from Sean right before another session of education.

Tess grew up a slave to her gruesome family, properly chastised when she raised her head. With inner demons this vile, can one say she has truly escaped her family life?

After Tess' latest run with the murderous Angel gang was fatal to all; she awoke on a cold steel table with blood drains in the 5th sub-level of Tantervalles Castle....but can she take this chance for a new life or will her personal demons drive her to a final death?
