In 1989 a group of professional terror makers expanded their personnel list to attempt bigger crimes (and cover the loss of some of their pyscho buddies here and abroad). To this end, head killer Cobra1 decided to enroll some hardcore criminals to his banner of the Snake. These were people who could (and did) kill without mercy or glimmer of compassion when the job called for it and could be occasionally restrained when so directly ordered.

The first of 1989's new lot was a hardened killer with the smile of an Angel (of Death) picked up right at the gates of the prison. Arial Levy was convicted of assault and battery and armed robbery [they caught her with proof of only one of her crimes - or she would still be inside]. Rumor says she made her martial arts connection by skewering another inmate in the ear with a paperclip over a pack of cigarettes - prison's way of proving oneself worthy of attention. She became "Griffon".

The next recruit was harder to arrange a meeting with. The word in the Underground was that Neo (a black kid connected to the Dragons street gang) could do anything on a computer.. Break into secured places, create havoc via the telephone system and create a new person electronically... all for a price. The problem for Cobra1 was meeting him in person, Neo was as paranoid as Cobra1 himself... the closest anyone ever got to Neo was via Jimmy "the Walking Dude" Walker, his aide-de-camp / lackey / hacker-protegee / gopher, as pale as NEO was dark. [and no one ever saw Walker in the daylight either - of course that is just gothic chic - right?]

Other recruits [getting less pay than Griffon & NEO] followed: "Flash!" (convicted extortionist and security systems guy), "Trigger" (ex Army special forces gone to seed), "Sparky" (dwarfish in size and soul - a mad scientist who has made poison gas and bombs for both Iraq and Iran) and "Knuckles" (ex-Navy Seal - kicked out for very good reasons not related to any skill lacks).

Several big jobs can be traced to Cobra1 and his minions... the destruction of the International Trade Department of the 3rd Chemical Bank in NYC ... the bombing and slaughter at a Miami steakhouse... and the bombing and devastation of the Soft Glow Cosmetics Laboratory and manufacturing plant outside of Miami Florida....

After the bio-warfare debacle at Soft Glow Cosmetics in which Griffon & Flash died; the surviving terrorists split for safety, to meet again in 1990.... [The Griffon's Ghost Affair]
