Tomei (undercover) seeks to lead Skorpians gang (from Barney's playhouse) to Ripper hangout L Nun as distraction for Raid (Feds in full armor) to grab "Angel" But upstairs Tomei spots a bloodsucker (no time for "Angel" or Skorp/Ripper fight)! 4 stories to search, body on top floor: in near coma surrounded by candles etc on a table. Hunt leads to bathrooms a girl is caught & cuffed and Frank Willson (foolishly wearing an "Osirius Lives!" t-shirt) is found wounded [Willson was seen at the Ren-faire in the park and looks as if he fits the profile]. Items recovered from affair include a necklace of steel with ankhs on it (gilded) [from vanishing girl!] and some slime from the decomposed/destroyed vamp. [all odd items get sent off to Dr. C in LA - they have such faith in her - silly mortals...] Appropriate reports are made and suitably doctored by JD & team to protect the innocent public (including other cops). Friday evening - more Blood! Flo's (3.5 miles from Barney's Playground) Roadhouse becomes a slaughter house with 25 men dead and the safe missing. Turned over to the Locals (not a Federal matter) - oddly enough the news reports are amazingly toned down. JD gets a promotion to Inspector somehow (Hidden strings pulled) and on Sunday June 4, Ernstine Colark [age 55] of Amarillo Texas is found at YMCA pool #3 on Ash street by a father & his 3 kids; Very Dead. Same MO as serial killer in Oregon & California. Off goes Kool to Texas; 4 Vans to be stationed in Amarillo, to be mobile. Meanwhile, it is Paul Gibbons birthday! (Party, Party tonight at the Latin Rose! Don't be late....) Death toll: 1 generic Marshal, 2 guests, Papa Hernandez of the Latin Rose and Paul. (And some, but not enough Yakuza; most escape, with one yak sniper hit and an arm found inside.) Days pass with Corelli and JD out cold/and or babbling. All doors for info closed, even to Tomei. FBI Agent Watson plans a meet with JD, but is "accidentally killed" on the way... Meanwhile, to stir up trouble and info, a raid is planned for "Mr Foo's"... End results: raid, only a few misdemeanors - no guns/drugs/nasty girls...(tipped off?) [Plans begin to formed for rogue action] Wed Morning: Tomei spots watchers at Corelli's place and starts a fire fight with firebombs which leads to a cool bike chase and a van crash with other team members getting involved... the problem: It was a FBI stakeout team Tomei ATTACKED! Injured: Marcus Hefright (who shot at the Van after crashing his car into it) & Tomei, 3 FBI agents including one Killed! [With all special items packed away and only carrying "throwaways" the
"new" team flies Hemlock Air to LAX and has but 3 hours to spend before
leaving the USA for Japan. What can happen in just 3 hours? Demons in the
Bar of course! Hemlock senses 3 "specials" just as the Demons burst in
to attack. Hefright taunts one into using its major power on him instead of
JD (known to monsters by name) and fails Save, but the distracted demon gets
toasted. Hemlock tries to make patrons believe in a "normal" terrorist
attack & everyone hustles away with Hefright's body to a place of refuge:
the mens room. There a customer is disabled painfully, and examination
reveals Cody/Hefright's body is alive but his soul is missing! Hemlock's
prayers open a portal to follow, to the Abyss! Hemlock goes through astrally,
the team follow Hemlock physically. The room is now empty except for
Hemlock's entranced form & the tied up man in the stall.] | |
| August 24, 1999 2 AM - parking lot addendum: Toru Shishikura's arrest & confinement before trial (NY Rykers Island) for Jan 13, 1988 murders. He got a nasty tempered Justice Dept lawyer (who drew the short straw) who really worked for Trident and who eventually passed Toru the mustard packet with the coma drug after Trident was sure about him. Found floating in "bacta tanks", wired & doped to the gills with hallucigens are Corelli & JD... (Belmont was looking for Benchly, a family retainer and found extra). The abyss was a drug dream!!!! Escape for all prisoners and lab destruction. Then to a motel for some mind bending and seduction before Trident pickup arrives. Taken along is Crystal & Belmont (oddly enough Corelli's claim of Psi for Crystal is true!) Belmont joins Trident (better pay than freelance monster hunting) Corelli gets Crystal taken by Trident (claiming she has psi power) to satisfy his lusts (odd, she does have some low grade psi ability - mild precog/card reading 8-, no active yet) telling her Jake was killed on trip to base.
