[Another tape from book club: WW II footage shows Dr. Mengele experimenting on Jewish women - 9 of 10 die within 10 hours. Koni Lugue is woman #10 and lasts for 112 hours.] At club, "Wagner"'s name is not mentioned (thus not on wire) but his high persuasive powers convinces JD of his evil ways. But when raiding the place Annebelle is not to be found!!! [Secret passageways do work sometimes!] Torralba not knowing she is a fed, rescues her from the "invaders" and puts her in a hotel room safely... (Hotel Wiltshire with $1000 to stay put while he investigates [he doesn't return - his phone tap heard her call to JD?]) JD had meanwhile called in Trident MIB support for search of the Club. Thursday Jan 5: National Inquiry runs Punisher story and picture (Agency denies Super hero, says nasty Yakuza/ mob fight). Friday Jan 6: Newspapers, 19 dead in China Town Tour bus incident. (agency says only 6 really on bus, others added from other murders to cloak them). Strange dream projections - Victorian style monster hunting for Dreadhaven - with embarrassing dialogue heard loudly by others awake (her "yeah right, who writes this stuff"'s are too soft to make out, they say). John investigates himself (odd that Krieg would Not enter the house [even Skill roll by 8 not enough]) and the new theory has the suicide faked by thief after Harold killed. (6 African statues missing along with gun etc.)(No slugs found). [Via Radio] Casket Corelli stops a 2-11 at a liqueur store Tues Oct 4 - 2 AM: "Vamp" attack in alley to lure cops where other waiting. Dissolving perps & super aging corpses FREAK our heroes out but thinking fast they decoy the backup cops into searching for fleeing PCp addled druggies....gently leading the frightened witness into a "sane" version of events. (after shift they stay in a cop bar until the Sun is Very Thoroughly Up) [later they confide in a maniac, Barry's last partner Corelli, who believes and understands] Wed - normality as Vanya starts showing up when John goes jogging and then even at his Dojo! Paul opens up with his 45s on the club guards at back staircase when the club bouncer/guards rightfully ask for his search warrant [an unprovoked attack by Paul], JD assists Paul after the fire fight starts. (Benson & Jessair are at the other entrance). Then while leaving, JD & Paul harass Aldo, arresting him on a punk false charge (helping document the murder time even without the security cameras on the stairwell door!!)! By the time JD & Gibbons reach the plane, restraining orders have been issued against them (to stay 1000 feet away from Aldo); but no murder warrants or shooting team questions.... Mob keeps it in house? Why? Obnoxious on the plane, they, the Marshals! are put off! Only Alastaria's connections in Kansas keep them from further delay. [Chars: JD, Benson, Jessair, Gibbons] | |
