& Sam for their home with English & American money. It was estimated
to have cost almost a million dollars in 1880's currency, now it is said it
would cost several hundred million dollars to duplicate. Listed as one of
America's Historic Homes, it is still owned by descendants of Cynthia and Sam.
Charity tours of a small portion of the grounds are occasionally
given and eagerly subscribed to by both horticulturalists and historians. |

it]. With the repeat vanishment of its propriator, Dr Hemlock, the US

tiny island and its residents. Tourism is Not encouraged. |
