Dateline: Los Angeles Ca.- The Law Enforcement community was
suprised today with the release of indictments for several popular agents
of the US Marshal's office here in Los Angeles.
Sought for murders in New York and San Francisco and violations of the
Slade-Hartley AntiCorruption act are the noted and decorated agents
Justin Carlos Daniels (known to thousands of racing fans as "Racer X®")
and Anthony James ("Casket") Corelli ex Army Special Forces. Three of the 7 US Marshals
indicted were arrested Wednesday morning, with the whereabouts of
the four others currently unknown.
- Agents of the IRS, the Securities and Exchange Commission and
the US Marshals office seized assets belonging to the 7 accused Marshals
and froze accounts belonging to several ancillery organizations including
a Los Angeles Youth Center in the Barrio mentioned in one of the
indictments as a recipient of property improperly consficated from
people not charged nor convicted of any crime and the Racer X Bike Racing Team ®
Also seized were shares of stock in various corporations including Northrop,
Westwind and Lear as proceeds of crimes pending final trial and disposition of the assets.
ATF agents were called in to remove large quantities of unexploded
ammunition from the homes of several agents involved.
- Quoting Sam Harrison of the ATF: "I've only seen this much stuff
in a Schwarzenegger film." at the run down suburban home of Anthony
"Casket" Corelli where several large trucks were used to remove the
weapons, ammunition and equipment.
- Valerie Stratford AAG is for once quiet as the Justice Dept.'s
favorite spokesmodel remains in Washington DC. deep in "consultation"
with the Attorney General's office. No official word except the
warrents and indictments isssued has been released by the Department
of Justice.
- As of Press time fugitive warrants have been issued for Anthony
Corelli, Justin Daniels, Detective Jonathan Hemlock and Detective Tomei Nakagomi
(who was involved in a latenight altercation which resulted in the death of an
FBI agent and the injury of two others).
- In Custody tonight are Detectives Toru Shishikura, named as
one of the triggermen in the January 13, 1988 slaying at New York's King of
Spades night club; and Detectives Alastaria Jessair and Daniel Benson charged
with felony murder charges for involvement with the January 31, 1989 slaying
of two security guards at the same New York night club.
