Shootout claims life of fugitive Ex-Lawman

Dateline: Bixby, Mo.
  As units of the Missouri State Police cordened off vast chunks of national forest near Bixby to prevent escape, fugitive Ex-Marshal Anthony "Casket" Corelli continued to hold off a mixed group of local, state and federal law enforcement personnel. The 6 day siege ended when a fire and explosion claimed the life of "Casket" Corelli, ending his part of a two month man-hunt that has spanned 3 continents and given overtime to countless agents of the FBI, US Marshals Service, ATF and even the DEA.
   Justice Dept spokesman Horace Manly, speaking from Washington DC, stated that the death of one of the prime conspirators would not stop the investigation started by the Justice Dept and the Attorny Generals Office. Federal Circuit Court Judge Carl Hostings, has been named as Special Prosecutor in the investigation due to allegations of a connection between Attorny General Edwin Meese's office and several of the former members of the US Marshal's Service now wanted on various charges related to murder and corruption in the west coast Anti-Crime taskforce formerly headed by Valerie Stratford.
